For those looking to develop or refine these skills in a flexible and supportive environment, Dance Factory offers a wide range of casual classes designed to suit all experience levels. Whether building confidence in dance, exploring acting, or improving musicality, these classes provide an accessible way to train without the commitment of full-time study.
With expert teachers, a welcoming community, and a variety of styles to try, Dance Factory’s casual classes are a great way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy the process of learning something new. Come along, give it a go, and discover just how fun and rewarding performing arts training can be.
Our History
Recognising the growing demands of modern musical theatre and commercial dance, founder Dulcie Lee established Dance Factory in 1982. Her vision was to create a studio that:
Catered specifically to the evolving needs of the industry
Provided professional artists with a platform to share their expertise
Fostered an atmosphere of excellence
Enabled students to train full-time and graduate industry-ready
In 1985, the Dance Factory Full-Time Course was introduced, setting a benchmark in performing arts training that many have since aspired to follow.
Through the strength of its faculty, a strong emphasis on performance, and Dulcie Lee’s commitment to technical precision and artistic development, Dance Factory graduates have secured roles across Broadway, the West End, Asia, and in virtually every major Australian musical theatre production.
